I regret the day I decided to watch the movie. Bollywood movies can be very deceptive. They seem very classy and very interesting from the trailer as well as the song promos but they never fail to disappoint you when you go see them. Especially if you go see them in the theatre. You feel exceptionally bad when you brave the crowds, stand in long lines and pay a hefty amount to watch such a movie over the weekends. There is a sadness which is very hard to explain.
Abhishek Bachchan is a very influential rich fellow who loses his girlfriend to a brutal murder. He invites three wannabe mafioso and subjects them to scrutiny. Kangana Ranaut is the investigating officer. Eventually when the killer is revealed, there are no surprises. So the only person who is concerned about the death is the killer. I think I should give myself some stars for watching the movie till the end.
Coming back to Game. You would think that film makers would have understood by now that Abhishek Bachchan is totally incapable of carrying a movie off entirely on his own. He is back to his wooden ways which don’t do any service to the movie.
Anupam Kher is wasted entirely in the movie. He dies in the beginning and nobody can recall as to how he died or whodunit. Kangana Ranaut, as a cop who can’t talk straight, is highly annoying. She has proved it consistently that she needs a diction trainer and it is high time that her directors also realise that. Sarah Jane Dias is just another pretty face who is under utilised. Game has a highly disappointing music score as well. The songs lack luster and sound repetitive.
